Math problems and puzzles for pupils from Grade 2 upwards

These arithmetical puzzles, which can also be used in lessons, are divided into three levels: "Easy", "Medium" and "Hard". Five numbers between 1 and 9 are combined using multiplication, division, addition and subtraction, with different numbers provided in different places to help you, depending on the level of difficulty. Recommend for kids from 7 years upwards (elementary / primary school).

Rules:
The numbers from 1 to 9 can only be used once in the squares!

Select difficulty level:

Solve easy math problems online
Easy math problems for pupils: With the "easy" problems 4 of the 5 numbers are provided in advance, which means that these problems are "warm-up exercises". These are not so much problems as simple calculations, which makes sense at the beginning because pupils in Grade 2 (7 year olds) are not used to making a note of interim results and using them as the basis for further calculation. If required you can select the numbers to be provided in advance (otherwise the numbers and patterns which are provided change at random):

Solve medium math problems online
Medium math problems for pupils: In the "medium" problems 3 of the 5 numbers are provided. These are suitable for second and third graders (7 – 8 year olds). The 'clues' appear in nine different patterns which can, if required, be pre-selected (otherwise they change at random):

Solve hard problems online
Hard math problems for pupils: In the more difficult problems for Grades 3 and 4, which are suitable for pupils from the age of 8, only 2 of the 5 numbers are provided. There are seven different patterns which can, if required, be pre-selected (otherwise they change at random):

The sequence of the arithmetical skills applies is always multiplication, division, addition and subtraction. Regular problem solving with our math puzzles is good for mental arithmetic, concentration, logic and retention of data. In order to ensure that clear answers are always produced it is not advisable to modify the math problems.
